Off-Leash Beach Season on Oak Island
From now through March 15th, pups can play off-leash on the beach from 6am to 8pm in areas marked by beach signs (on leash the rest of the year). Many of our homes also feature fenced yards and easy beach access — so pack the treats and settle in to your next coastal getaway!
Note: Dogs must be leashed when entering or exiting the beach.
Beach Bonfire Season
Gather your crew and enjoy a cozy beach bonfire under the stars! Permits are required from the Town of Oak Island and can be easily requested online or in person.

Spring Art Show
Welcome spring with an evening of local art, live music by Jesse Vipperman, and light refreshments at the Oak Island Recreation Center. The show continues through the week, with attendees invited to vote for a People’s Choice Award.

Oak Island Seafood Festival
Come hungry for the Second Annual Oak Island Seafood Festival from noon to 5:00pm! It will be an easygoing afternoon of coastal flavor and community fun at Middleton Park with cooking demonstrations, educational events, a craft market, and live music from the Lockwood River Band.
